The Windsurfer class, the one from which everything was born in 1968, Is back. On Sunday 4 November 2018 the World Sailing Council recognized the status of an International class to IWCA, after a tough assessment started last July.
In fact the explosion of the Class in 2018 did not go unnoticed, culminating with the World Trophy of Torbole last July, where there were over 100 athletes from 10 nations, passing for the Australian, Italian, Spanish and Japanese championships, with participation that no traditional class can boast, and with the re-foundation of the Dutch, French and South African national classes.
This fantastic year will end with the Siam Cup in Thailand from 1 to 5 December, where there will be athletes from all 5 continents.
And now we are ready for the first World Championship of the new era in 2019.
Windsurfer all around the world, stay tuned!
