Back to the roots
In 2018 the Windsurfer was relaunched in a global initiative to grow the sport of windsurfing. The original board was given an upgrade to embrace modern technologies and was adopted as an open board project by many of the world most influential windsurfing brands. The re-invigorated class is experiencing immense success around the globe with the racers from the past rejoining the class and a new generation of windsurfers following them. If you are interested in giving the class a try get in touch with one of the many regional associations around the globe or if there isn't an association near you maybe you would like to start one.
The Windsurfer LT equipment is fun and accessible for the whole family. Whether you are a seasoned windsurfer or just getting into the sport the Windsurfer Class is an idea way to practice and improve your sailing in a fun and social community. The equipment is simple. The official 5.7m sail is suitable for almost all sailors in most racing conditions and it´s simple rigging parts make assembly significantly easier than most modern racing equipment.
Make sure to buy IWCA approved material (with class patch or the “Windsurfer” brand).
